Wildlife in the USA
The wildlife in the U.S. is incredibly diverse due to its wide variety of climates. The most famous animal in the U.S. is the Bald Eagle. The bald eagle is the symbol of the U.S. and its image can be seen prominently throughout the U.S., especially on the items issued by the government, such as the U.S. Dollar. Other famous animals are the American Black Bear and the American Bison. There are plenty of destinations where you can travel to and view wildlife in the U.S in their natural habitats. The government has created many National Parks across the country to protect wildlife. The first and most famous National Park is Yellowstone National Park and it was founded in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant. It spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km squared). Yellowstone is quite an attraction as it contains many of the endangered or threatened species that can only be rarely seen elsewhere.
