There is something magical about Thailand. It might be the strong spiritual beliefs of the people, both past and present; or the intriguing landscape that easily reminds you of a jungle adventure story. It has a range of attractions that makes it a dream destination for most travelers.

Bangkok
Bangkok is most travelers’ entry point into Thailand and provides them with their first impressions of the country. They are met with a bustling city full of character and life; filled to brim with temples and Thai culture. On the other end of the country Chang Mai is nestled into the mountain ranges with a more relaxed atmosphere that sparks to life during popular festivals.

Khao Yai National Park
Thailand has a beautiful landscape and an eco-system filled with interesting plant and wildlife. Nature changes while moving through the country; from mountain ranges to crop plains to stunningly golden beaches and more. The climate also changes with the environment, with a very distinct dry and wet season. Phuket, located in the south of Thailand is an island that is over 70% cover with mountains making it another natural paradise.
The cities are colorful, the environment is colorful; so it is no surprise that the people are too. The culture found in Thailand is rich with religion, cuisine and architecture. All these aspects combined make Thailand a dream destination for most travelers traveling through South East Asia.

Sweden is the third largest country in the European Union and one of the most beautiful. Of course, one cannot think of Sweden without being reminded of the world’s largest furniture company, IKEA. Made popular by its cost effectiveness, IKEA certainly has made our home needs easier and from its success, other furniture designer companies have followed suit. Fashion For Home also offers designer furniture direct from the manufacturers. However, Sweden’s contribution to the world is far more than just bargain furniture.

Explore Lapland's Winter Wonderland
During the cold months it is a Winter Wonderland and its untouched wilderness remains its number one tourist attraction. Lapland has unique scenery and a stunning place to view the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. Situated in the far north of Sweden it is known as “Western Europe’s last wilderness” and is listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for its incredible nature and historic site for the Sami people that lived there for thousands of years.

Dog Sledding fun through Sweden
For a true adventure, Sweden is the place to try mushing your own team of Alaskan Huskies in the Swedish Mountains. Dog sledding through the winter snow forests and frozen fields of Sweden is one of the most exotic things one can do. Be prepared to spot reindeer, wolverines, arctic hares and if you are incredibly lucky, maybe a glimpse of the Arctic Fox as well.
If you’re happening to be dog sledding in Lapland, don’t forget about visiting the ICEHOTEL Located in the village of Jukkasjarvi, the ICEHOTEL has double rooms and suites contracted entirely of ice. Surprisingly, you won’t freeze to death staying here. The chill can’t penetrate the reindeer skin laid out on the bed and you’ll be provided with a down-filled sleeping bag.

Egypt is home to one of the oldest civilizations in the world and is a country with history bursting from the seams. From Pyramids to ancient cities to old towns mixing with the new, it has everything for a dream holiday.
Cairo is the main hub of Egypt and normally the place where most travelers begin. As one of the Arab world’s busiest cities, Cairo is a joy to explore making you feel alive at every corner. The old town shows how the city once functioned while the new districts point towards Egypt’s future. On the outskirts of the city The Great Pyramids can be seen only 9km away. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and simply amazing. A must-see on your trip to Egypt!
Moving south through Egypt you will find many other exciting and culture rich destinations. Luxor sits on the banks of the Nile, with the modern city on the east bank and the Necropolis on the west. The Necropolis is one of the best places to visit to get a look and feel for how life in ancient Egypt really was. Further inland to the west lays The White Desert which is a picturesque environment with giant chalk rock formations covering a buttery white area.
For travelers seeking a destination to relax and bask in beauty, Aswan is the place. It is located on one of the more spectacular sections of the Nile with palm trees and beautiful bathing areas. It is the perfect spot to sit and dream about the rest of your travels.

Spain is the place to visit for beaches in Europe. Along the coast of Spain as well as the Balearic Islands boast the best holidays for sun, wind and surf.

Costa Dorada is also known as the Golden Coast and is a beautiful dream destination in Europe. Southwest of Barcelona, this southern Catalonia coast has about 90 kilometers of wide sandy beaches, hidden dunes and amazingly blue oceans. It is a spectacular location for water sports, camping and outdoor activities. Conveniently located, Costa Dorada can be visited in a day trip from Barcelona.

Costa Brava is northeast of Spain which means it is cooler and wetter than the other coastal towns. In Costa Brava you can see that Spain was once a prominent Roman settlement as well as occupation by Visigoths, Greets and Arabs. The main attraction of Costa Brava is its coastline and the Banyoles Lake, along which situates the Santa Maria de Porqueres, a Romanesque church. The Fageda Beech Forest, a maze of exotic plants and flatlands which an impression of a natural fairyland is definitely worth a visit for those interested in flora and fauna.

Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands is a bustling hub of mountains, beautiful beaches, landscapes and affordable food. Majorca can be expensive but the further inland you go, the cheaper Majorca accommodation can be. Barcelona Point offer a range of affordable apartments and hotels within Majorca. If you want to get away from the bustle of Majorca, go exploring in more remote coastal areas. The island hosts several just as beautiful beaches but without the noise of tourism such as Magaluf Beach and Es Carbo Beach, a quieter alternative to the crowds in the Majorca strip. If you’re not afraid of heights, the Cap de Formentor, Majorca’s northern point offers specular scenery. The drive up can be scary, as the Cape can only be reached on a 13 km long windy and narrow road along the cliffs.

Mexico is a diverse country where anything goes. It is considered part of North America and is filled with a mix of influences from Central America, the United States and Spain. While travelling through the country you will come across everything “typically” Mexican but will also be welcomed by the kind locals who are extremely friendly and laid back.

Museum of Anthropology
Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the main hub for culture, finance and business. This big city is a great place for visiting museums and watching the Mariachi bands perform. The other great city that embodies Mexico culture is Oaxaca. Here you will find the best Mexican crafts on offer by some of the most talented artists. You can also explore the surrounding environments which boast ancient ruins and national parks. But if you are after ancient Maya ruins the best destination is Palenque. Ruins found in thick forest dating back to 100BC can be found in the ancient city and must be seen to be believed.

Kukulcan Temple at Chichen Itza
The natural landscape of Mexico has a lot to offer the outdoor traveler and it changes region to region just like the climate. Throughout the country you can find great mountain ranges that are home to many of the most populated cities and sites. They are also home to many of Mexico’s diverse wildlife which is one of the most diverse in the world.
Culture and traditions play a huge part of Mexico, which is a country that has been built up from a very vibrant past. All the influences can be seen through art, media and of course it’s delicious cuisine.
Don’t let stories of Mexico being dangerous put you off going to this fantastic country because it has so much life and experiences on offer to all travelers.

For the past few weeks I have been stuck inside learning about the ins and outs of human anatomy for an upcoming exam. I could see the sun shining out my window while I sat at the computer reading through all the information on kenHub to help boost my knowledge base. It worked and I passed my exam, so I decided it was time for a much deserved holiday.
With a high over the country I headed north from Berlin to the Baltic Sea. In many of the countries bordering the sea it is known as the ‘East Sea’. During winter months up to 45% of the sea can be frozen and tends to typically be in the northern regions. This ice shelf makes the perfect home for both the grey seal and Baltic ringed seal, which use it for mating and resting. As the summer months approach the ice slowly melts and is normally all gone by June.
Lucky for me it was August and I was met with a warm summer breeze as I arrived at the beach. I lay on the beach all day warming my body before dashing into the refreshing waves to cool off. Finally I was losing my pale hue from so much time sitting inside and getting a nice summer tan. Also it was nice to move around freely, using the bones and muscles I had just been so laboriously learning about!

Australia is a vast country filled with many things wild and wonderful and is one of the most popular destinations in the Southern Hemisphere. It might be far away from the main land masses of Europe and the States, but this seclusion only adds to the countries allure.

Australia
In the highly populated cities like Melbourne and Sydney there is a strong cosmopolitan life style. The locals enjoy an easy flow between indoor and outdoor activities, moving from the shops to the beaches or parks. During the summer months the cities are alive with outdoor festivals, cultural events and days spent at the beach.
Smaller cities like Broome and Perth move a little slower than their big sisters but still have a lot to offer. The slower pace allows visitors to relax and enjoy their time and explore the natural surroundings or join in on some of Australia’s favorite sports.

Lake Waddy, Fraser Island
The natural wonders in Australia are breath taking and there is something for everyone. A beautiful coastal drive along the Great Ocean Road is the perfect way to see some of Australia’s famous landmarks or a trip inland allows you to witness the sacred Uluru.
The wildlife found throughout Australia is also very special, with some of the world’s most deadly animals calling it home. But don’t let that put you off a trip, some a very cute and fascinating.
There are many islands around the coast of Australia that are great for getaways and also introduce visitors to different climates and ecosystems. Tasmania is the largest Australian island, which is growing quickly in popularity.
With great weather, relaxed people and an endless supply of beaches and outdoor activities; Australia is a hard place to leave, so beware!
