Due to its multi-ethnic population, the U.S. probably has the most diverse music scenes in the world. Popular genres of music include Rock n’ Roll, Hip-Hop, Pop, Country, R&B and Electronic. Often artists today will combine different elements from different genres, so it can be difficult to define exactly what kind of genre an artist fits in. Famous current U.S. musicians include Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Britney Spears, and Lil Wayne. Several deceased artist still hold huge popular acclaim in the U.S. Two of the most popular are Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Even with its huge national music scene, the U.S. still has many different regional varieties of music. If you travel through smaller towns, many of these varieties can be seen.
