The U.S. media scene is highly developed and produces world-renowned Films and T.V. shows every year. The U.S. media scene is primarily focused in Los Angeles, California with the district of Hollywood being synonymous with the American cinema industry. Silicon Valley, also in California, produces the technology that allow the U.S. media industry to thrive. Companies headquartered in this area include: Apple Inc., Google, Facebook, and eBay. While Los Angeles is the leader for movie production, New York City is the leader in most of the other categories of media. Many of the world’s largest media companies are headquartered in New York. These include: Time Warner, Viacom, the New York Times Company, and Sony Music Entertainment.
