At the toe of Italy, you can find the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of country’s most popular tourist destinations. Sicily is a region known for its warm climate, rich culture and a vast range of art, music and literature influences. There are also an abundance of significant archeological sites on the island such as the Valley of the Temples and the Necropolis Pantalica. Cusine in Sicily must be tasted. The island is known as “God’s Kitchen” because of the endless supply of fresh produce and highly regarded wines. Do not leave without trying Pasta alla Norma, Granita and of course some Lemoncello. The Island is mainly reached by boat or air. If you are travelling by train from other regions of Italy the trains drive straight onto the boats, taking you across to Sicily.
