Italy MOUNTAINS
The long boot shaped peninsula of Italy has a wide variety of changing landscapes. The country is very mountainous with the main ranges lying in the north bordering France and Switzerland, and also in the southern regions. The Northern Ranges are part of the Alps and has the highest peak in Europe, Mt Blanc. Down the center of Italy, mountain ranges divide the West coast from the East and are home to hundreds of small villages. These towns and villages are beautiful destinations to visit and show the slower lifestyle still abundant in Italy today. The mountain ranges are also scattered with wind turbines, efficiently producing renewable energy for the country.
