Luxor is the best destination for the treasure seekers amongst us. Luxor is now the name of an ancient Egyptian city called Thebes, which was the birthplace of Hercules and Dionysos. The city is abundant with ruins and temples dating back to 400BC and is like a giant outdoor museum. The ancient ruins lie across the Nile in the Necropolis. Here you can find temples, tombs, monuments and the Valley of Kings and the Valley of Kings. Modern Day Luxor also has some interesting sites to see including the Karnak Temple and Mummification museum.
